In these turbulent times, I'm quickly realising how easy it is to take health and freedom for granted. It's not until that privilege is taken away do we realise how lucky we are.
With self-isolation measures ramping up, I don’t know about you, but I have been dreading being stuck at home with more time on my hands than ever. I was panicking how I was going to cope living and working from my tiny city-centre apartment - without my usual escapes to the gym, coffee shops or to lunch with friends. However, I realised I needed to put things into perspective and realised this enforced time at home could actually be a great opportunity.
Not only a time to rest, be still, think deeply and truly appreciate the life I am lucky enough to have, but also for self-development. I’ve already signed up for a couple of online courses I've been meaning to do for months and set aside some fantastic books I've not had the time to read this year so far.
I am luckier than most, with a business that's nearly completely online, so I can continue coaching my fantastic clients uninterrupted.
